Who's almost in, who's out in 2023 Icc world cup

The ICC Men's ODI World Cup is getting close to its final stretch and has produced an exciting race to the semifinals with 31 matches played thus far. "Who's almost in, who's out in Icc world cup 2023" Nine teams are left vying for one of the four semifinal spots in the very tough competition, with Bangladesh eliminated from contention after their Tuesday loss to Pakistan.

After six games played by each team, no side had secured a berth in the points table as of match number 31, which added intrigue to the situation. The hosts, India, are currently leading the standings with 12 points and a spotless record this early in the competition. In contrast, South Africa has won 10 points in six games and has a strong Net Run Rate (NRR)

Semifinal qualifying scenario for teams

India

The hosts and top-four finishers are just one victory—or point—away from guaranteeing a place in the top four. Team India will move on to the tournament's knockout phase even if one of their final three games ends in a tie, a victory, or no outcome at all.

Only a loss in their last games against Afghanistan and a pretty pass would guarantee India's place in the semifinals.Team India's last league matches are against Sri Lanka on November 2, South Africa on November 5, and the Netherlands on November 12.The Men in Blue have won six straight games as of right now.

South Africa

The Proteas team has been crushing opposition teams with their massive totals, and they have been in complete control of this competition. The team also needs three points overall to ensure a position in the semifinals.

The final three matches for South Africa are on November 10 against Afghanistan, November 5 against India, and November 1 against New Zealand. Even if the Temba Bavuma-led team loses two games by close margins, a win would keep them in a strong position to move on to the semifinals.

New zealand

The Kiwis are now losing their next two matches in the competition after winning their opening two games. They need to win two straight games in order to go to the knockout stage; if they lose one or two games by a significant margin, it will be "touch and go" for them.

The New Zealand team's final games are against South Africa on November 1, Pakistan on November 4, and Sri Lanka on November 9. It is anticipated that all three teams would advance to the playoffs.

Australia

Australia's four wins in this event, which came after two humiliating losses, have put them in a better position to go to the semifinals.

Similar to their siblings' opponents, the Blap Caps, they too need to win two of the final three games against Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and England.
